Welcome to the Scherer Institute - a healing arts and massage school located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. You are on your way to an exciting new career in bodywork! Our mission is to provide a solid foundation in massage theory and practice while cultivating presence and compassion. The 700-hour massage therapy certification program integrates an intuitive, structural, and scientific curriculum to provide you with the tools and techniques you need to become a successful massage therapist. Advanced specialization trainings are available for additional diploma hours and dual-certifications.
At the Scherer Institute, you will learn a comprehensive range of modalities, including Nurturing and Therapeutic Massage, and a powerful structural technique, Connective Tissue Bodywork. Our energy work curriculum includes the Healing Quality of Touch, Polarity, Cranio-sacral therapy, Shiatsu, and The Subtle Body. You will also receive a strong education in the sciences with our Anatomy and Pathophysiology for bodyworkers. Our students have a 99% pass rate on the NCE exam for four years running! In our public clinic, you will acquire confidence and come to see yourself as a professional massage therapist.
